License Update

This document serves as a general guide to update a new license into existing license.txt.

1. Stop Tomcat Service

Select the Search icon on taskbar, key in Services and press Enter.


- Locate the Tomcat Service.


- Right click the Tomcat Service and select Stop.


2. Backup Existing License.txt

- Navigate to sam-oidc-config folder.
(If there is only C drive within the server, the folder should be within C:/Netrust-sam-oidc folder. Else, it should be in the other available Drive, Netrust folder)


- Go into the folder, locate the existing license.txt file.
- Make a copy of the license.txt file and rename the copy as license_backup_<date>.

3. Append License

- Right click on the license.txt and select Edit with Notepad++.
(It is recommended to have Notepad++. In the event where there is no Notepad++ installed, proceed to edit as Notepad)


- Add a new line, add in the new license and Save.

Ensure that there are no special characters or spaces added at the end of the existing license entry or at the start of a new license entry during the appending of the new license

4. Start Tomcat Service
Select the Search icon on taskbar, key in Services and press Enter


- Locate the Tomcat Service


- Right click the Tomcat Service and select Start


5. Testing
- Carry out testing on the new license using the new Client ID and redirect URI

Go to Postman application.
Go to request body of “SAM OIDC ID Token (CP)” or "SAM OIDC ID Token (SP)" and replace <Actual Client ID> with client_id and redirect_uri provided by SPCP.
Run Postman Script “SAM OIDC ID Token (SP)” or "SAM OIDC ID Token (CP)".
Expected error code response “error0400”.

6. Clean Up
- Navigate back to sam-oidc-config folder.
- Delete the license_backup_<date> file.
